public class LabelledComponent
extends javax.swing.JPanel

Places a right-aligned label next to a given JComponent. The label will use the component's tooltiptext. Best for one-line components (JTextField, JComboBox, etc.) but probably works OK with others as well.

Constructor Detail

LabelledComponent

public LabelledComponent(java.lang.String labelText,
                         javax.swing.JComponent comp,
                         int labelWidth)

Constructs a LabelledComponent with the given parameters. A width can be specified for the label. If you want to have multiple labelled components in a column, forcing the same width on all of them will make the components line up nicely.

Parameters:

labelText - The text to use for the label.

comp - The JComponent to be labelled.

labelWidth - Force the label to have this width, for uniformity's sake.

LabelledComponent

public LabelledComponent(java.lang.String labelText,
                         javax.swing.JComponent comp)

Constructs a LabelledComponent with no forced label width. Labels will be exactly as long as they need to be to fit the labelText.

Parameters:

labelText - The text to use for the label.

comp - The JComponent to be labelled.
